Driven by a passion for graphic design and a love for storytelling, I embraced the challenge of creating a typography poster featuring a poignant quote from Peter Parker in "Captain America: Civil War": "When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you." This task served as a learning opportunity to explore the fusion of typography and iconic quotes to encapsulate the essence of a beloved character, Spider-Man. The challenge extended to visually representing the emotional weight of the quote while maintaining a captivating and aesthetically pleasing design.
The success of this project extended beyond my portfolio, as the Spider-Man typography poster went on to win a Silver Key at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2019. This recognition not only affirmed the impact of the design but also highlighted my ability to translate emotional depth into a visually compelling and award-worthy piece. This project is a testament to my growth as a designer and my dedication to using visual elements to convey powerful narratives.
